Conjoin operates as a HIPAA Business Associate. We sign a BAA with every paid user, and our infrastructure partners (Supabase, Deepgram, Anthropic) all carry BAAs with us. Audio is never stored. Transcripts are encrypted at rest. You can read our full security overview on the Security page.

Audio is streamed directly from your phone to our transcription partner, converted to text, and discarded. It is never written to disk on our servers. The transcript that results is stored in your encrypted account — which you can delete at any time.

Every note is a draft until you finalize it. You can edit any field inline, regenerate individual sections, or rewrite the whole note. Conjoin is a documentation assistant, not a clinical decision-maker. Your clinical judgment is always the final word.

Today, you can copy a finalized note to your clipboard or export as PDF to upload into any EHR. Direct integrations with SimplePractice, TherapyNotes, and Jane are in active development — paid subscribers get first access when they launch.

Yes. Conjoin includes templates for individual work, but the product is optimized for couples-therapy workflows. If your caseload is mostly individual, a generalist tool like Freed or Upheal may fit you better — we'd rather you use the right tool than the wrong one.

Yes, on the Solo plan and above. You can duplicate any system template, edit the section structure and the prompts, and use your custom templates across all sessions.

No. Your transcripts and notes are never used to train any model. Our AI partners (Deepgram, Anthropic) operate under agreements that prohibit training on your data.

You keep full access until the end of your billing period. You can export all your data at any time. If you don't export before cancellation, your data remains encrypted in your account for 30 days in case you return, then is permanently deleted.

Yes, anytime. Upgrades take effect immediately and we prorate the difference against your next bill. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period, so you keep the features you paid for until then.

Group includes up to 3 licensed clinicians who each get their own login, caseload, and notes. Admin access is included — no separate admin seat required. Need more than 3 clinicians? Email hello@conjoin.app and we will set up a larger plan.

It is genuinely cheaper because you are earlier in your career — not because the AI is worse. You get the same recording quality, the same note quality, and the same security. The limits are 20 sessions per month and no custom templates. You do get supervisor review mode, which the paid tiers do not. Requires verification of your student or associate status.

At the end of your 7-day free trial we ask for payment to keep your account active. Nothing is charged automatically before then — no credit card is required to start the trial. If you do not subscribe, your account goes read-only for 30 days so you can export your notes, then the data is permanently deleted.

Yes. Group plans can be invoiced annually and paid by ACH or check. Email hello@conjoin.app with your practice name and seat count and we will send an invoice within one business day.
